Trevor and Abbey Callaway are on an adventure, and they would like to invite more people to join them!
The adventure: adopting two toddlers from Bulgaria!
As of this writing, the Callaways have had their children home with them for just six months… and in the spirit of their children’s home country they are not only celebrating a special holiday, and not only creating unique meaning for it, but they are also inviting prospective adopting families (and their communities) to join in the celebration!
Baba Marta celebrates the days leading up to Spring and its promise. Celebrants make, buy and share Martenitsas—red and white threaded bracelets. This March, the Callaways are taking this tradition a step further:
So this March, as we celebrate Baba Marta—sporting our Martenitsa—we hope to extend the message of hope that adoption provides.
